Dr. James Yang graduated from National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu Taiwan and University of Southern California in Los Angeles U.S.A. in 2000 and 2003 respectively. In 2005, he received a full scholarship to pursue his doctoral degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Tandon School of Engineering in New York University. During his time of doctoral study and Research Fellow job in New York University, he worked on ultra-high-performance network routers and network security chips.
Dr. James Yang is a chip design expert in the fields of network, communication, and image processing. Before he establishes Microip Inc., he served as a senior R&D supervisor in several chip design companies in Silicon Valley in U.S.A., and Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan, and the R&D team he led while serving in the Hsinchu Science Park successfully developed many excellent chip products include the world's first network security chip.
After the establishment of Microip Inc., Dr. Yang led Microip Inc. to successfully develop the IP Mall, the Global Outsourcing Service Platform and the Cloud Chip Collaborative Design Platform. Among them, the Global Outsourcing Service Platform and the Cloud Chip Collaborative Design Platform were successfully launched in 2015 ahead of the global semiconductor industry for many years.
Moreover, Dr. Yang led Arculus System Co. Ltd., the parent company of Microip Inc., to develop the world's first chip architecture design EDA software, Architecture Compiler, and chip performance analysis EDA software, iPROfiler, and released them into market in 2019 and 2021 respectively. In 2023, because of the innovation of these two EDA software, Arculus System Co. Ltd. had been granted The World’s 10 Most Revolutionary Semiconductor Companies Award.
Under the outstanding leadership of James Yang, Microip Inc. and Arculus System Co. Ltd. are going to list in Taiwan OTC Market and NASDAQ in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
